Introduction - Why I Want to Invest in Stock Market (KLSE)

To write a short introduction about myself:

- Nationality: Malaysian
- Age: 30s
- Profession: Senior Software Engineer
- Family: 1 wife, 1 son
- Income: about 70k SGD, equivalent to about 165k MYR

My education has given me some basic training about financial management, and I think at the moment I have been able to live well-off, and I have never been doing financial planning seriously. Nevertheless, late is better than never. I would like to start looking into investment seriously, as it is clear that saving alone cannot guarantee the future.

I plan to write about the fundamentals of financial planning for someone like me, who is a novice, and have a keen interest on investment, especially in the stock market. I plan to write what I know. As a Malaysian, I think that investing in KLSE should be fine, as that is my country, and the names there are all familiar to me - Maybank, Public Bank, IOI etc.

I hope I will learn along the way, and be successful in my personal financial management.
